After you downloaded Ion and put it on your calculator press the 'PRGM' key and youll see the three programs, execute the first one and it should say 'Ion installed.' After that press second and the the plus key then 2 then 7 then go over the three programs and press enter so that there is a star next to it. If there is a star next to it then it is archived.
The good thing about the archive is that you have more space in your RAM and if your RAM is deleted your archive is not. This way if Ion gets erased just unarchive those three and re-install, then archve them again.
Step 5: Get Some Games. No, you'll have to use a different strategy for that, but it's SUPER easy. Basically, instead of downloading TI manager, download TI manager CE. Then, drag the game into your files. (Games designed for the TI-84+ will work this way, but I'd still advise you to download from a site other than TIcalc.org, that way you can take advantage of the CE display and get a pacman game that looks like actual pacman, etc etc.) Once you've done this, unless the game is an assembly/asm game, you should be fine.
Open up programs and select the game. If the game IS an asm file, go to your catalog, select 'Asm(' and paste it into your homescreen by pressing enter. Then open up your programs, and select the game.
It'll paste the run command after 'Asm(', and then you should be good to go. Press enter, and your game should run.

But we have got plenty of those right below.
First, let us get to work. Step 2: Downloading and installing Download TI Connect onto your PC and install it. This is a great little piece of software, because it will also allow you to back up your calculator. Then, download Ion onto your calculator, send it to the RAM of the device, press the PRGM key, and install the first of the three programs you see. Then, press 2, +, 2, then 7. Stars should appear next to each program, meaning they have been archived.
Step 3: Download, install, and play Now you are all set; all that is left is for you to download and install your first game. Most can be found online for free as.zip files. There are also plenty of forums where you can exchange tips and tricks, walkthroughs and even screen shots (though that last bit is somewhat more difficult, given the technology at hand). The games in question are as free as the Nyan Cat meme and require no codes for purchase, demo version expiry frustration, full CD installation, or anything of the sort. Try it out: download one to your computer now, right-click on it, and send it to the calculator via USB. Make sure it is sent to your RAM.
Press PRGM and run prgmA. You should be all set to play. The 4 top downloaded games for the TI 84 calculator Mario is, hands down, the most popular video game character in history, so someone had to port him to TI calculators, too.

Here are our top 5 picks: 1. If this game title sounds familiar, it is probably because you have played the puzzle game of the same name, for the Atari Lynx or the PC.
It is the games first ever TI clone, as well as the very first TI-83+ game with grayscale graphics. The game has you playing as computer geek Chip McCallahan, who is dead set on joining the Bit Busters, a computer club with highly exclusive admissions policies. To win the game, you need to make your way through the complex club house, past invisible walls, across obstacles, traps, block which you can move, doors which appear to be forever locked, plus a whole range of monsters. This one is rater self-explanatory, as far as the gameplay goes: anyone who has ever owned a PC with an earlier version of Windows is well-acquainted with this classic native game. The cool thing about Fletcher's version is that it is the first one to feature grayscale graphics, plus an entire host of other features, including a cursor, a timer, and several others.
As with Minesweeper before it, Fletcher also took another highly popular game and adapted it in grayscale visuals, for the TI-83+ platform. It is a great challenge for math geeks, as you may already know, so it is only appropriate that you should be able to play it on TI-83/TI-84/TI-83+/TI-84+ calculators. The world of TI-84 gaming, much like the world of math, has limitless possibilities.
This is an updated version of my first real game using Ti Basic. The main difference is that it runs faster because i am using a matrix to keep track of the snake, food, and wall locations instead of several lists Its my Snake Game and it plays full screen as you can see.
Use the arrows to move the cursor while in the menu and 'enter' to select an option. While playing use the arrows to change the direction the snake moves and hit 'enter' to end the game. The game keeps a record of the top 3 high scores, but if the game has never been played the preset high scores are 1st: 500, 2nd: 250, 3rd: 100. Along with a body segment gained there is 10 points awarded for every food item eaten. This program is very clean and will not mess up your graph data or any format settings as long as you quit through the menu and do not 'ON' break it. The only variable that will remain after the game is quit is the list 'H' as this is where the high-scores are located.
